Onspring Careers: Federal Sales Manager

If so, Onspring is seeking a high-energy, high-activity Federal Sales Manager to drive new business within the US Federal Government and associated agencies (both civilian and intelligence). The Federal Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with key contacts, creating new business pipeline, and driving revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requires deep knowledge of federal government regulations and experience to run a federal sales territory including pipeline development, territory planning, account planning, forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, and short-term, mid-term, long-term opportunity management
  • Establish access and maintain active relationships with key federal decision makers (across all IT/IS and senior executive levels)
  • Actively network at relevant industry events, trade shows and conferences
  • Identify, develop, and execute account strategy to close new business opportunities
  • Scope, negotiate, and bring to closure agreements to exceed sales targets
  • Establish, maintain, and utilize channel sales resources, such as resellers and system integrators, as necessary
  • Capture, maintain, and disseminate accurate and relevant prospect information in our CRM system
  • Stay abreast of competitive industry and market intelligence and provide feedback in this area to executive management and product team members

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of solution selling experience with 2+ years of experience selling software to the federal government and/or public sector organizations
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets
  • Successful experience with target account selling, solution selling and/or consultative sales techniques
  • Proficiency with sales tools such as CRM, marketing automation, contact intelligence and social selling platforms
  • Extensive network with both US federal agencies as well as the partner ecosystem
  • Experience navigating FedRAMP, award management systems, government procurement processes and related purchasing vehicles
  • Active government clearances and badges preferred (but not required)
